The type of music ( that is loud an unconventional aka soul music) - that rocks the neighborhood to its very foundations which means we are talking a block party (with the streets blocked off, 'everyone' pitching in with food, the street gangs are on an armistice, and clean up (mandatory) for everyone starts at 5:00 AM - Monday) till it's time to go to back to work at 8:00 AM) or gang bangin - with a smile plastered on your face (for a moment - now - known as memories (a blast for the past) - good times and good music too bad the 1960s ended up on a sour note (with the world never recovering)!

Have you noticed that the survey times to complete keep going up and up. Who spends 147 minutes on a survey to acquire 125 points?? It's ridiculous. There are better sites than this one to get points and get paid accordingly.

A survey just showed up, saying it was 3 minutes and 245 points (24cents) and I clicked on it, after answering a number of questions all of a sudden it went to 25 minutes and all for 245 points, very unprofessional, so I closed it down.

Ditto with the going forward. Past has already been done so I wanna see what happens ahead. Will robots take over? Will we discover aliens? Will climate change get the better of us? Will there be a 3rd world war? Will we colonise Mars? Will we develop fusion energy soon? These are the things I want answers for now.

Most of you would've got today's promo, earn 1000 points on surveys of any colour & receive 100 bonus points. Great, should be easy, I thought. I completed 1 survey 250 points, then screened out 5, getting around another 100 points. I checked promo center to see how many points I needed to complete, 750 to go. It seems screened out points don't count. Fair or not fair? Thoughts

While grocery shopping, it really astounds me to find shoppers have discarded things, from other aisles, into areas where they can decompose and need to be thrown out. Why ask for a cut of topside, wait to have it weighed and wrapped and then leave it with packages of cereal? Today there was also an onion in a plastic bag left with the eggs? Why DO people do this?
Pato Lo Duck
Have you considered that it is not done deliberately but inadvertently by older shoppers whose faculties may not be so good and just put something down to pick up another item, then just forget what they did and walk off, leaving it there?

Uncle Peep (Robert F)
Yeah, or at least a fine. The problem is that the courts don't want to punish people for making those calls, because they don't want people to be afraid of making the calls... they'd rather err on the side of caution. If you know who's making the calls, however, you might be able to sue for harassment. I've seen it done successfully on Judge Judy.

I am a sporting fan and I am starting to feel as if we are being sold out by the sporting bodies as some of the major sports are having a foreign company as a major backer. I think most Australians prefer to buy and support Australian companies but are being mislead by some of this sponsorship e.g Alinta Energy 1005 Chinese owned and Australian Cricket

Power companies should be made by law to state whether they are owned by foreign companies...Alinta...just like "energy australia" spend a lot of money hiding the fact that they are chinese and pretending to be "Aussie"...I hate that sort of thing..and we just allow it...sponor whatever you like...but just be honest of your origins....

I just had heaps of lime surveys appear in my survey list all at once. I started trying them and was getting screened out of every one I tried but then I finally managed to be able to complete one which was fairly short. Once I finished it all the lime surveys had disappeared from my list. It's the first time I've ever seen that colour on my list. Did anyone else get them? Or have other people had lime surveys before?
Smooch - Vic
Yes, Viola. I had them popping up this afternoon - first time I’ve come across them, and I wasn’t impressed. Provided a fair whack of information and was then screened out. Can’t see myself rushing in to complete any more any time soon.
09-Jun-21
I read lots of problems with this survey site (i have had my share). The thing that makes me think is that I do surveys on another survey site and have NEVER had a problem (touch wood). Any one else do surveys on another site and have problems?
Mr Grumpy
I'm on several other sites, and they all have their problems/issues of one sort or another. YouGov is the only site I know of where you will never get screened out, because they check your demographics before issuing invites. (And also they don't have commercial/advertising type surveys where the sponsor company only wants certain answers, and will reject you if you give the wrong ones.) But I only get one or two surveys a week from them.
All the others have their share of lengthy questioning before screen-out or "errors" or other technical issues. Rewardia has more of these than most, but at least they pay out promptly when you redeem points, unlike some others - one in particular takes weeks to e-mail out gift vouchers. And the games keep you amused while waiting for a REAL survey to come along.

But, it's easy to get the Union Flag wrong way up, and many of the Brits waved it wrong way up. A national flag flown upside down is a distress signal.. So was their waving their national flag upside down a prescient signal of distress....? Or just plain ignorance?

Hopefully the government / city councils in New Zealand are not stupid enough to bother with hosting the next one here. This type of event is nothing but a waste of tax-payer money - I don't think *any* have ever made a profit for the host country (partly due to the massive amount of money wasted getting ready for them), that's why the Commonwealth Games struggled to find a host city / country.

We clean the windows when they need cleaning, but there's little point during the wetter months. Mind you, there's little point any time because they soon get dirty again around here, plus it's impossible to get "streak free" cleaning, no matter what the products you use like to claim. :-(

Do you think its safe for school to restart?
Edward S 497347
My answer is based on living in Australia, so well, let's see the facts:-
Covid is now running rampant across Australia, except for West Australia.
Prime Minister and state premiers state we are nearing the peak of THIS cycle of Omicron.
We all know from past experience, every time we are near the peak of one strain a NEW strain appears and it takes off again.
In recent weeks the head of the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared that Omicron is NOT less serious and NOT less deadly as other previous variants and told ALL world leaders to STOP misleading the people in their country.
Recently, one expert stated that although we are near the peak of Omicron we MUST prepare for a MUCH more severe and MORE deadlier strain to hit the world ( and up to date this expert has never been wrong in his predictions ).
Australian government states they will do RAT tests on ALL students and teachers TWICE a week ( but there are NOT enough RAT tests in Australia ).
Only testing the kids and teachers TWICE a week means one or more students / teachers could become infected in between each test and spread the virus while waiting for the next RAT test.
The ONLY way for a "Safe return to school" is to do a RAT test on every student and teacher every school day.
With the current shortage of RAT tests and every country wanting more, our schools will very quickly run out of what RAT tests they have available then have to wait weeks or months before they can get more during which NO child or student will be tested.
Around the world many adults, young adults, teenagers, young children and even new born babies have been infected by Omicron, many of who died and our media tells us 50% of the people who died were NOT vaccinated, BUT that means 50% WERE vaccinated and some who recently died even had their booster shot.
Therefore, in my view it is NOT safe for children to return to school UNTIL there are enough RAT tests.
Having said that, children CANNOT be homeschooled forever and working parents need their children to go to school so they can go to work.
In reality, it is damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Do you think this should be a subject taught in high school for teenagers to help them cope and understand life outside of home such as topics on Mental Health, Emotional Coping, Domestic Violence, Respect for others, etc. I personally found it extremely hard in being unprepared for what lay ahead in my life as a adult, and how to cope with any of it. Some children are not raised in a healthy environment at home and are so unprepared for life s issues that many of us face....

You learn by your mistakes (and hopefully never repeat them again). Kids need to learn life skills by simply living ...... and finding their own way, not by some newbie 'teacher' who does not have much of a clue .........

I'm new to this part of the site so please forgive me if this has already been discussed. What do people think of Donald Trump's behaviour over the US election results?? For me, I think he is a big baby spitting his dummy out - he should be more mature than he is and has been. Certainly is not fir for the role of the President. I wonder if he does try again in four years and, if he does, would the US be mad enough to vote him back in? Interested in everyone else's thoughts...
Stevi Wonder
Give him a chance to prove if the voting is a fraud or not. Let him prove it. If he is found correct that there is voting fraud, then he will be a national hero. If not? He will look like a fool. He has time to do his investigation. He's got until 20th January 2021 to show the nation proof of fraud. If he definitely losers to Biden, then he may try again in four years time. Yes, I think his American supporters and fans will vote for him again. I don't think American's really care who is president. If they like Trump and his policies to get america moving again, then they strongly support the Republican party. I do not know how Americans think? I don't think Donald Trump is an idiot. I believe he is quite intelligent. Let him prove himself. Remember he's only got himself to blame if it all backfires on himself. Let's watch the show and see what happens.
