Strawberry Clafoutis | ||
Ingredients 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced 3 eggs ½ cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup milk ½ tablespoon lemon zest ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup plain flour Icing sugar, for dusting Vanilla ice cream, for serving Method Preheat oven to160 C. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, milk, lemon zest, salt, and flour until smooth. It will look like pancake batter. Pour mixture into a greased round, shallow baking dish, then top evenly with the strawberries. Bake in the oven until golden brown and set, about 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then dust with icing sugar. Serve topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can use any fruit you like such as pears, blueberries or cherries. Makes four to six serves. | ||
