Delicious Hamburger Mash meal
My friend from US called this dish "hamburger mash". She said this dish has got a bit of everything, reminds her of the versatile ingredients you can put in the hamburger. Hence, the name sake! This is also a great recipe to use up your leftovers from the fridge and create your version of hamburger mash. Ingredients: Dash of oil 500g beef mince 250g sausages (I used spicy ones to add more taste) 1 large onion (chopped) 1 tsp curry powder (optional) 1 tsp crushed garlic 1 tbsp flour 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 medium Zucchini 2 medium potatoes (cubed) 4 stalks celery 1 cup pasta 2 cups beef stock Salt and pepper to taste Method: 1) Chop onion, zucchini, celery and potatoes. Fry sausages and then chop into chunks. Boil pasta. Set side for later. 2) Brown mince. Add onion and crushed garlic. Add in flour, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Pour in a can of whole peeled tomatoes. Add in beef stock. 3) Add chopped sausages, potatoes, zucchini and pasta. 4) Simmer till everything is soft. 5) I serve this dish with bread rolls or/and salad.
