Tart Crust for Ramadan
A tart crust that you can make easily.
Works with both sweet or savory fillings.

Ingredients:

1 lb flour
1/2 lb margarine
2 eggs
90 ml water
1 packet baking powder
1 small teaspoon salt

Flavoring of your choice (lemon zest, vanilla, herbs de Provence, turmeric, paprika, etc.)

Instructions:
Mix the flour and margarine together until you obtain a fine, even crumble.
Then gradually incorporate the remaining ingredients while mixing.
Bring the dough together using your fingertips, without kneading too much.
Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 7 mm (it should be thin, as it will rise due to the baking powder).
Place it into small tart molds. You can also make two large round tart bases, or use a muffin pan turned upside down to shape the crusts.

Prick the dough with a fork or a skewer and bake until half-cooked.
Do not overbake, as the crusts will continue cooking once they are filled and baked again.
