Tuna sashimi with sesame seeds.
Chris P Chikin08-Sep-25
This is a dish that many people love. Sadly those who are not adventurous will refuse to try it and never realise what they are missing.

It takes only a few minutes to prepare.
Buy, steal or catch some FRESH tuna. When cleaned or unwrapped, put tuna in a bowl and pour oyster sauce on. Turn the fish from time to time for around 15 to 30 minutes to coat it with the sauce.
Throw some sesame seeds into a frypan with a few drops of oil. The sesame seed will sear quickly and start popping (like popcorn).
Sprinkle sesame seeds on to the fish. Coat the fish with the seeds.
Put the fish into a frypan with a small amount of oil. Sear the fish for a minute or two.
Beauty.
Slice fish and place on a bed of rocket. Throw some pickled ginger on it and add some wasabi sauce.
It is awesome.
We get a lot of fresh tuna from our boats. My in laws head out fishing in the waters between Sulawesi and Borneo.
Squid can be prepared in the same way.
Cheers Ron
