Beef Rendang

In Indonesian and Malaysian homes cheaper cuts are normally used and the simmering time increased.
INGREDIENTS
* Fresh Ginger. 50mm
* 2 small onions, about 100 gram.
* 1 small white onion.
* 1 tablespoon coriander
* 2 tablespoon cumin. (roasted)
*Chillies to own taste.
*2 Hazelnut
* White pepper (half teaspoon)
*Grind those into paste in mortar. Then slowly fry for 40 minutes or more with
*Cubed beef (1 kg)
*Galangal.
*Lemon Grass. (bruised not chopped)
*Kaffir lime leaf and bay leaf.
*The last three ingredients are removed, not eaten.
*Add coconut milk while simmering. (500mil)
*Add desiccated coconut (roasted)
*Palm sugar. (one tablespoon)
*Serve with steamed rice
