Vegetarian Snack (Edamame Beans) | ||
One for the vegetarians amongst us. 500 g edamame in pods (fresh or frozen is fine) ¼ tsp + ½ tsp sea salt 1 tbsp salt (for boiling) 1 tbsp honey 1 tbsp soy sauce ½ tbsp red pepper flakes 1 tbsp sesame oil 2½ tbsp lime juice 1 tbsp garlic slices fried water Bring a pot of water to a boil and add half teaspoon of salt. Cook the edamame in the boiling water until tender, about 5 min. Drain. Add the honey, soy sauce, pepper flakes, sesame oil, lime juice and ¼ tsp sea salt to a large bowl. Stir in the edamame and top with garlic flakes and an extra sprinkle of sea salt and red pepper flakes. Enjoy Edamame beans are actually young soybeans. | ||
