To many, the words exotic food conjures up images of certain types of meat that you cannot just pick up at your local grocery store. There are restaurants that cater to those who want to try something out of the ordinary. Bear, venison, alligator, bison and yes, even snake.
Then there are those other foods, that although they are more common may not be to everyone's taste, like pigs feet, tripe and blood pudding.
Now, before I am inundated with comments from the vegetarians among us, it has to be said that there are certain types of fruit and vegetables that might be considered exotic. Also, certain plants and flowers are edible as well.
So whatever your interpretation of "exotic" is, let us know how far you have gone with this, and how far you are willing to go.
For me it's escargot. Yet I will not eat sushi. Love seafood but it has to be cooked. But escargot smothered in garlic butter. I'm good with that.
