Is it ok for the public to go into shops and abuse the staff who are only doing their everyday job, especially when it comes to checking bags?

My belief is that if you have nothing to hide, then what is the problem with having your bags checked?

Swearing and calling the staff names is not necessary.
If the staff are not helpful or are rude, then they should be reported to a supervisor or manager.
