You haven't received a phone call in months, so on this day when the phone rang you picked it up right away. The voice on the other end sounded familiar, but you're not 100% sure you knew who it was, and you didn't want to feel foolish by asking as the person did not say their name.
The conversation goes on for a couple of minutes until the person asked you a question that you didn't know, you stopped, laughed and then quickly blurted out, "who am I speaking to?" No response, then a click, the person hangs up the phone.
You stand in the same spot holding the phone, feeling kind of foolish, but, then you said to yourself, "who will know anyway?" You hang up the receiver and continued what you were doing before the phone rang.
Every now and then you keep wondering to yourself "who the heck was that?"
