Discussion of the Day
Bad behavior in grand-children

My grand-children came for a visit for a few days, which I was happy for. However, the 11-year-old boy, was out of control. He started sliding down the banister, turning the lights on and off, playing with the radio station and setting the alarm clock to go off at 3 a.m.

His mom didn't discipline him. My partner and I spoke up, and she just made up excuses for him.

We all went hiking, and the 11 year old was breaking branches and leaving them on the sidewalk. We told him not to do that, and he looked mad. As we hiked, he'd pick up big sticks and wave them close to our faces, when we tell him to stop he'd do it more. Then he took a big branch and dropped in front of me to try and trip me.

I told my daughter I didn't want him to come back to my home.
She stopped speaking to me. It has been over a month since they came and she still hasn't acknowledged my messages.

Should I keep sending her messages hoping she'd respond or stop?
Has anyone experienced this? If so, what did you do?
