Deceptive "Specials"
I was shopping at an electronics retailer where there was a ticket on the shelf which was the same style and type of ticket as the ones that were discounted only it did not have a "before" price (whereas the other tickets clearly had a before and now price. Since these places have multiple styles of tickets, you can easily mistake a normal priced item for something that is discounted/on special and this is highly deceptive and unethical.

I also detest the stores that have special displays of "hot items" with special tickets yet the item is not really at a special price but it is meant to look like it is.

Then there are the ridiculous specials where you save a whole $1 off the RRP off an item that costs hundreds to thousands of dollars. Really, who are they kidding?

What deceptive and ridiculous "specials" have you noticed at retailers?
