When my alarm went off this morning I told my Google speaker to stream the radio. It said something, but I didn't hear because I was still half asleep, anyway, there was no radio, so I got up. To my surprise the TV was on and it was showing ABC radio. How on earth did it do that? My husband and I had no idea, but it took us ages to get it back to being a TV. I want the TV to turn on when I turn it on, not the Google speaker. We are losing control of everyday things like the car knowing where I'm going and wanting me to use a different lane, having a power cut and losing not only power but the NBN and the phone. We came home one day in a storm and had to break into our house because there was no power. Companies don't really want you to pay in any other way than direct debit, and once again if something goes wrong you have no control. I'm being pushed along by AI and technology and I don't like it. I should have choice.
