Skimpy Reinvented Restaurant Meals
I know times are tough for restaurants but being extremely stingy or skimpy with main ingredients or toppings will just drive people further away. My favorite submarine sandwich place now has tomato slices that are so thin they are almost paper like. A tiny line of shredded lettuce, not even a tablespoon worth. We went to our favorite Italian franchise eatery last night. The sausage penne pasta dish had 3 slices of sausage the size and thickness of quarters. It used to have about a full sausage cut up and all throughout the full bowl of alfredo pasta. Last nights pasta would not of fit into a coffee cup. Prices have gone up, sometimes as much as 50 percent and then they still reduce their offerings. I dont know what the answer is, but last night there were only 3 tables dining, in a restaurant that a year ago had line-ups even on a Monday evening.
