Stop anyone that is not an Australian Citizen from buying property in our country. The cost of property has sky rocketed over the last few years making it hard for people to buy their own home. Lots of other countries won't let non citizens purchase homes and it is about time the Government stepped in.

They haven't reverted back to coal power because renewables are unsustainable. Stop spreading unsubstantiated propaganda.

We could all start by not supporting the 100% Chinese owned energy suppliers in Alinta and Energy Australia. It was the Whitlam Labor government who sold out Australian workers in 1975 with the Lima declaration

I hope that the people that you mentioned are just plain frightened by the prospect of suicide. I'm sure they don't understand just how hopeless life can seem for some. Many people that I knew thought I was doing just fine. I had almost everything that I wanted, like so many people, but I came a couple of doctors visits from taking my own life. Circumstances, being what they were at the time, left me feeling so lost and hopeless that I couldn't see any way out. A good doctor and some very good drugs no have me living again with some hope for the future. No, these feelings are no joke and need to be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. You have no idea just how many lives would be adversely affected if you go all the way.

I think people spend way too much money on a wedding to begin with. To send invitation is a waste of money, I think. Just get together with the closest family member and friend, have it in the back yard and save your money. Weddings are a big show and you spend so much money on one day. You don't need an elaborate wedding to show your spouse you love them.

I think political correctness is trying to spoil Australians sense of humor. You can't seem to tell a joke without upsetting someone.

Why would you buy a car where the battery takes 75 years to dispose of....Only an idiot would support this type of BS being pushed by an agenda fueled government...Oh wait that is ALL governments today!

Isn't it interesting that some narrow minded people think that solving the unemployed youth issue is as easy as throwing these kids into the armed forces. Endemic societal issues cannot simply be solved by handing a kid a gun. The root cause needs to be addressed. That cause starts in the home the school the social group and the online barrage of garbage children face every day from the likes of online forums such as face book. Do not use the armed forces who do a fantastic job of protecting our democratic freedoms as the channel to fix issues that need to be addressed by all. The ADF does a great job encouraging people from all walks of life to serve and protect. And to Bob F...below you say use diplomacy? Tell that to Putin and his mates in Iran North Korea and China. We enjoys freedoms that so many others do not. Our military forces need to be the best there is. They are there to protect and serve. God bless these people.

Hi APB I live in a Ryman Retirement Village called Keith Park in Hobsonville in Auckland. We have a 3 bed apartment, two bathrooms, and a patio, total 112sq meters and we have two car parks. Our village will not be finished for at least another 12 months, We are ground floor for our two cats who also enjoy living here. There is nothing beige here, the building look bright and modern. Google us to see. We have so many activites Ryman have employed a full time person to organize them. We play bingo on Monday nights. Nothing depressing here it is all go go go. Nothing is too much bother for the staff they even water our patio garden when we are away. It is way better than some hotels we have stayed in. With their security there is little chance of a break in or your car being stolen. That gives you cheaper insurance, all in all its a WINWIN situation.

The best part of my day is after I have fed my cats, made the bed, had breakfast, done the dishes, swept the floor, dusted, done a couple of loads of washing and hung it out, ironed, either walked or used the treadmill, had lunch and cleaned up, pulled a few weeds, gone shopping if I need anything, fed the cats, prepared dinner, checked my emails, done the dishes, checked the bills, had supper then lights out. Then I may be able to go to bed without any cats, in which case I am able to sleep in any position I want. Tomorrow is another day.

I don't care what they play. That being said my grandfather was a Professor of Medicine, specialising in Pathology and Anatomy. In his day he was one of the UK's leading experts in those fields. He did not approve of women/girls playing Contact Sports such as Football (AFL was unheard of) Rugby, Wrestling etc., his belief was that physiologically the female body was not suited to these sports - it had nothing to do with gender as such. If the reports in the media around the world are true that SINCE THE ADVENT OF Women playing NRLW/ AFLW, FFW etc, the number of Women who have been badly injured as a result of taking part far exceeds, on average, those suffered by men over many years longer. If those reports are true then maybe my Grandfather was right. Of course he was a man and therefore, with today's attitude that Men are Always Wrong he would be disregarded and condemned as being a misogynist, a male supremacist or somesuch nonsense!

I will do this again as many responded and I deleted it trying to correct something. Sorry Beverly. Well done to you for this topic. Indeed a very Merry Christmas to Rewardia and all the other people on this site. Rewardia deserves this because of all the complaints that they get and quite honestly deserve a medal for it. Their surveys are good but if you get bored there are the games to take your mind off of things. Cheers everyone. Merry Christmas. Take care. PS Mopos you have no need to respond again. lol.

I really cannot answer this question as iam not on the lookout for a younger woman also my wife is sitting next to me and if I were to write anything else iam pretty sure I might not be able to do anything for a while.

Been a lot of lies been told by the government about the current situation with covid i have never voted for this government and i am disgusted with the direction in which our once lovely country is heading.

No. Look at the evil in the world perpetrated by horrible humans and nothing happens to them but the good people seem to cop it left right and centre. The old saying only the good die young seems to be too true. I have never wished bad on anyone and I do not believe in Karma but sometimes you have to wonder why nothing seems to touch them in so many cases.

No,I wont be influenced by a government with what I eat, it's my choice. Everything in moderation........

Life is neither fair nor unfair, it just is. Bad and good things happen, just focus on the good and life will be good. Be kind to others, animals, people and plants and kindness will come to you ....lol be happy

Since being on hormone therapy for breast cancer I put on quite a bit of weight so only about 10% of my clothes I feel comfortable wearing now. End of every season I go thru what I have and what I didn't wear all season and out it goes. (Gets donated) Suffice to say my closet is pretty sparse looking now but that's OK. I'm here and alive.

The past (the past is based on good memories - we all don't have good memories of the past when it comes to our families). Furthermore, what you are actually remembering is PROPANGANDA (aka 'once upon a time...' LOL)!

There are many empty industrial buildings which could be modified to make "low cost housing" but many of the homeless feel they do not wish to live with their fellow man due to mental illness. Our charities do their best to provide food and short term housing for as many as they can but the provision of mental health assistance has become even harder in Australia since Psychiatric hospitals were closed.

Hi blunder boy. What gadgets have I bought that get the big stamp FAILURE? NONE (but I do not buy gadgets manufactured in the USA (home of infamous 'planned obsolescence' innovations).

I'm in that age group and I built my home so it would be suitable for living in as I age. Downstairs has wider doors for wheelchair if needed and no steps. Dont need to go upstairs. Hopefully I will be able to get home help. My sister and I cared for our parents up until the end. They brought us up, so we should care for parents. If its not possible then so be it. I have seen friends go into some very caring nursing homes but there are some that I definitely would not go to. I have had discussions regarding that stage of life, death and funeral as well. Communication is so important.

15 years ago I changed my entire life to be minimalistic because I knew inflation was coming since we are NOT on a gold standard anymore (which is FRAUD) and I got way out ahead of it. I now pay rent, internet and buy groceries. NOTHING ELSE...unless I absolutely need something. Every single person I hear complain has WAY TOO MANY payments, credit cards, etc. and they spend money multiple times every single day on shit they do not need...oh, but they "deserve" things...lol. They look at costs BACKWARDS. My advice to all is GET RID OF as much as possible and pare right down...sit with that for a month or two...then you'll realize, DAMN...I really do have everything I need. Then you can deal with costs far better. When you comprehend the fractional reserve banking FRAUD going on...then you stop bitching and realizing the games BEEN rigged from the jump...ON PURPOSE...by the elites in control. Enjoy your bread and circuses, they say...and, KEEP CONSUMING NON STOP!!!! It's like this AI bs...why complain? STOP USING IT. STOP FEEDING IT. IT IS A FRAUD AND A MASSIVE SCAM ON SOCIETY AND THESE PEOPLE OF A CERTAIN ILK WILL GASLIGHT YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE MASTER DECEPTION ARTISTS...LIARS, THIEVES, SCAMMERS, etc. STOP FUNDING THESE PEOPLE. STOP USING THEIR TECH...it is ALL spying devices that they want INSIDE OF YOU...to FULLY enslave your consciousness and energy IN THEIR CLOUD....FOREVER!!! Revert BACK to LESS tech...STOP ALLOWING them to move forward...THEY need OUR compliance! Just STOP!!

Theres a few community groups around that refurbish computers for the elderly and make sure they understand how to use them.

paint your windows black,no need for curtains, no need to thank me, i'm here for all your household needs😁

Real names with real jobs to match: Dr Ashley Seawright (eye specialist), Margaret Bacon (deli assistant), Les McBurney (firefighter), Sue Yoo (lawyer), Ka Ching (cashier), Alan Toogood (Samaritans volunteer), Amy Freeze (weather reporter), Thomas Grieve & Son (funeral directors), Dr Pam Graves (Archaeologist), Rachel B. Pullin (Dentist).

Get yourself a copy of "The Barefoot Investor" by Scott Pape (who is a financial counsellor In Australia). He has some shrewd and simple savings tips which have helped a lot of people apparently. It's not going to be easy though on your current wage, any chance of getting an additional job?

Not cut off, but I make no effort to see them anymore. I’m still ‘nice’ to my MIL, but I no longer let her manipulate me after 16 years of letting things slide and just sucking it up. The final straw was when she screamed at me in a restaurant because I suggested, after three bottles of wine, that she might want to slow down a bit. She told me I was a terrible wife to her son and definitely not her ‘cup of tea.’ He sided with her, so the next day when she sobered up and admitted, “I think I might have overreacted last night,” I told her I’d no longer do anything extra but would still be polite—because that’s who I am. I stopped doing all the little things, like buying birthday and Christmas gifts or reminding her son to call her for special occasions. Now she’s realising her ‘little prince’ doesn’t remember anything on his own. He got put on notice, too, but that’s another story.

And this is the difference between men and women. Men...simple. Women...complex. Why? Women NEED to create drama to do ANYTHING but be a traditional woman who wants a husband, kids, etc. and NOT have a high body count in their mid 30s, be lonely, used up and own 10 cats. Men just want peace, a family, and reciprocated love.

A pretty good explanation Natka! S - soulful U - unification C - Caring C - community E - Excitement S - Solitude S - Sincerity Most importantly live each day in the present 😍

Once upon a time I got scammed by my ex-wife. It led to a brutal courtroom fight which lasted for months. Justice prevailed (in the end), and I got alimony (and still get alimony) from my ex-wife! However, an ironical thing happened along the way - we became each other best friend, after the divorce - it took decades for it to happen. Ony in America (LOL)!

This is an easy one. Because I seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, after I awaken and freshen up, the first activity of every day for me is to read the Bible. That makes me a morning person.

I don' think ego involves making decisions to seek the approval of others. Quite the opposite actually.

Renewables do not work if there is no wind or sun so definitely no to these wind turbines; they are a blight on the countryside. Panels yes on new builds IF they included a large battery. Coal should be in the mix as well as Nuclear.

Not including psychological issues, many people don't eat intelligently, meaning with understanding of what combinations of food to take or when. This often makes a difference.

I wouldn't have to adapt, as I do not rely on the internet, yes I use it on occasion, but I still have the ability to use a land line to contact friends and also to hop in the car and visit and I love reading and playing games with the grand kids and great grand kids, and life would be more relaxing when you didn't have to worry about scams and AI, also I very rarely shop on line, love going into department stores, trying on clothes and getting the correct size without having to pack up and return and wait weeks for hopefully the correct size.

It's difficult to give you any advice, as I don't know your skills, experience or any training you may have had or what industry you are looking to build your business in. As for me, I have been self-employed since the mid 1980's and started every business I had without any capital to draw from. One of my most successful businesses is one I started during a recession when people were losing their jobs and companies where closing down. My advice is to start small and simple, then build on that as opportunities arise. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty, be honest, be reliable and give your customers the quality work that they will be happy to pay for. And don't waste money on a fancy office, a flash car or the latest hi-tech phone. Remember always that you work for profit and not to pay off debts.

Next and finally, the real smart invention would be tooth that grows back, fills itself, repairs itself…wouldn’t it?

Health isn't just one thing! You have to take care of your physical, mental and spiritual health to be truly healthy and have a good balance in life.

There was a joke my father used to tell. A guy fell in love with a really beautiful woman. Finally proposed to her. On their wedding night the bride takes off her wig, her false eyelashes, her contact lenses her false bra, the gridle and everything went into a drawer. The confused groom stood there and looked at the drawer and then at the bed where what used to look like the girl he fell in love with. The bride asked why was standing there and not getting in bed. The confused grooms said I don't know if I should get bed or the drawer! Seems false advertising has been around for a very long time.

Big Brother is definitely watching! My car has just turned 35 years young, she'll probably outlive me. Good old Australian Holden, built to last.

No expectations. I have done all my shopping and most of my whanau will arrive over Xmas, but not all at once, I hope, as I have 6 children, 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren with another due any day

Your name is just a new addition to a long list of stereotypical names: Debbie Downer, Average Joe, Doubting Thomas, Mary Sue, Peeping Tom, Simple Simon, Smart Alec(k) ........

Don't use heating and cooling just dress cooler or warmer according to whatever the weather dictates.

I read of a couple who spent the whole year cruising from one boat to another, according to where the boat was cruising too. Now that sounds lovely, meals all cooked & prepare for you. I would do a cruise that would take in Samoa (not the AMERICAN side) as it is where my husband & I renewed our Wedding Vows & we had a marvelous time. We started off at Fiji for a week then we went to Samoa. I even had a Puletasi (traditional wedding dress) made for me who was the lady working in the souvenir shop. She also happened to be a seamstress in her "spare" time. It was lovely & my husband wore the traditional dress code for a man. We still have them, can't say that they still fit but we still have the photo's & memories of that wonderful holiday. We did that trip back in about 1995 & next month we celebrate our 65th year of being married.

we pay a tax through the petrol pump, in the way of a surcharge. Not to mention the charge for using the toll ways - that to me is highway robbery...owned by private companies, paid for by the users over many many years, and still they want more. The toll should be ceased, as I bet the revenue raised does not go back into maintenance of roads.

It seems everyone wants you to install their app to get deals. I was at a pet food store and the cashier told me about their deal, but I need to install the app and scan the QR code. I said no thank you lol. I don't want a bunch of apps on my phone, plus, it drains the battery.

I live by "Treat others how I wish to be treated." There are definitely more important things in life as money, or career success. If I could effect just one person's life for the better in any way, and impact them enough that they strive to do the same for someone else, then i think I could feel content with my life. For me the true highlights of life are found in the small things, the things most people don't even acknowledge exist or have no appreciation for at all. To be more specific, for me, Music has brought the greatest aspects in my life, as a drummer I had a really good teacher that enabled me to be able to teach others in the same or similar ways. I found value in the pets ive had growing up, in particular a Burmese cat, Oscar, when I was age 14, he picked me as his favourite out of my whole family and made me a cat person, I now have my own cat named Oscar and he means the world to me. I thrive on helping others and have always lived to learn lessons each and every day so that all the rare lessons ive learned can be taught or passed on to someone else.

I think the scientists of all lines should just accept the fact that God created us and stop trying to discover/explain otherwise.

Everyone knows that I am a music maniac, but there is an amazing therapy to bring back memories called Synocheer . . It is not well known. ..The process is... try to get as close to the date , month, year of your required memory. ..Then find songs/music from all styles, genres, current at that time. ..select some that you remember and some that you would not have listened to back then. So, it should be country, jazz, pop, rock, soul, classical and so on. ..You need at least 50 songs/music in that time space. ..Randomise them, select a time in the day when you will not be interrupted. .. Headphones are good too. ..and listen to all of them. You will be amazed at the outcome. .. It happens during, after and even weeks after. .. .....And, an added bonus, you can actually feel a euphoric high for the rest of the day.

No. I won't even use a human cemetery so why would I use one for pets? Cemeteries are a waste of space that could be better utilised for the living (humans, animals and trees and plants etc).

Same as fast food companies. They start out as maybe a chicken outlets then expand and sell everything and the quality drops. Also Chemist Warehouse now do spectacles. Specsavers now do hearing aids. They all just chasing money!. Supermarkets dont do insurance - they are just a broker and get a cut from the multinational underwriter.

if you cannot afford it don't buy it is our mantra, too easy to over commit yourself and go into debt. have to remember Wants not Needs.

considering there seems to be a lot of these people in the world today it is hard to avoid or ignore them, so I Ignore their conversation and continue to do what I know is right and safe for me

Life in general keeps coming up with problems that have to be solved. The day I stop learning is the day I die.

I up-sized eighteen years ago when I stopped full time work. I went from a nice two bedroom unit in Sydney to a spacious, open living space with an upstairs (master bedroom and ensuite, living area and deck) and downstairs (two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, kitchen and large dining and living area. Deck at front of house, side of house wrapping around to back of house all with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. (3 min walk to beach ion central Qld coast). Whenever I walk into a "normal" house now it always seems pokey and small. I would not like living in a small space again.

I'm Blessed because my bank doesn't charge for ATM withdrawals, or their checking or savings accounts ($50 saving minimum), so I never have any fees to pay! They even give nice gifts on our birthdays if we come into the bank. I've received an umbrella (with their name on it, of course), coffee mugs, and others. I love my bank, and will never change! ;-D

Solar panels are somewhat of a con trick. It costs a fortune to get them installed, then you need an expensive battery to store the power for when there is no sun. You need to keep the panels clean for best efficiency (difficult since they're usually on the roof), even then the panels and the battery *will* wear out and need replacing. Even worse, they claim it is "green" energy, yet making and disposing of the panels and batteries is hideously polluting. Best not to bother and just stick with regular mains supply. If you can (not possible in New Zealand any longer 🙁), use a government owned supplier so you aren't being charged excessive amounts simply to fill the greedy pockets of the electricity company's management and shareholders.

I used to really enjoy tinned smoked oysters. But then I noticed that the only brands stocked come from china. So I've stopped buying them. I also have noticed that some products imply by sneaky wording that they're australian, but you can tell by their australian product number, the barcode with 13 digits under it on the package somewhere. if it starts with 93 it's australian and 95 for nz.

I don't worry about the could of, would of. I'm grateful they're healthy, respectful and work hard (aged 21 and 22). If it wasn't for their dad (RIP) and I being who we were they wouldn't be who they are. I am proud of our sons', flaws and all.

I was thinking of moving. The house I liked had rates of over $6,000 a year thatis over $100 a week!!!

Sometimes I engage with individuals, sometimes I argue with individuals, but I 'never' ignore individuals (might miss out - on learning something of value pertaining to human behavior). Anyway, I 'never' under any circumstances expect 'people' (especially if they are religious - example - CHRISTIANS) to turn into GOOD SAMARITANS - in the blink of an eye - ROFL! We all (including me) come with 'hidden agendas'. One, whatever your point is - got lost in translation (example - translating 'British English' to 'American English". Two, I am too cynical (which is a distinct possibility). Three, you are too naive (which is very hard to believe) since you stated you are 78 years old in a reply to your 'Discussion of the Day' post. CIAO!

"Does having snow at Christmas make it more like Christmas, or does it matter. Do you enjoy enjoy Christmas with or without snow." Not into snow (cold weather) - moved to Southern Sunny California over forty years ago. Furthermore, I am an atheist - not into Christmas or any Christian religious celebrations. FYI: The LAST TIME anyone in my family celebrate Christmas or any Christian religious celebrations - my ancestors were slaves in a supposedly a 'CHRISTIAN NATION'!!!

I am the problem neighbor in my neighborhood - I play my music to LOUD only on FEDERAL HOLIDAYS - lol!

no amount of money can make me happy . Money is the root of all evil. Yes I am one of those people who are struggling to put food on the table for my family. When I see them happy then that will make me the happiest man on earth

When I first joined the Navy, my mother told me to save a deposit and buy a house in Devonport on the north shore of Auckland and get flatmates in to help pay the mortgage. At 19, the last thing I wanted was a $200,000 mortgage!!! Those $200,000 houses are now worth in excess of $3mil.

I'm mostly worried about the children growing up with so much technology. When I subbed, I saw kindergartners given tablets to "DRAW"! What about the smell of a crayon, and learning to mix paint colors to make different ones (green+red=brown)? They aren't using their BRAINS anymore! ;-(

Making money and wealth are two different things and neither are necessarily the answer to happiness. Depends on your definition of making money too. A dollar or a million dollars a day? Opportunity, falling into your lap or created, and mentoring. Intelligence and mental acuity. Knowing how to work smarter not just harder. Learning how to make money work for you, not you work for it. Luck. I've had money and a dream life, then lost everything and we ended up homeless for a time, because my now ex-husband ended up with a brain injury then a fairly rare dementia and I cared for him instead of looking out only for me.

Our oldest (22) still lives with me to make sure I'm ok as their dad passed this year. I'm currently building off grid to be alone. I spent many years looking after everyone and now it's time to look after myself. It's not a sad time, but a new journey. And if they want to come back I'll happily build a house for them........far away at the other end of the property! 🤣

As a fat bald old man, you do NOT want to see me in my underwear but good on you for championing this.

Stopped buying take-aways and make fake-aways at home instead with supermarket items. Saves heaps and still allows the family to have a 'treat' to look forward to. In some cases, is actually healthier too.

People had manners, they were polite and respected each other, there was no road rage and you hardly ever heard of domestic violence. you could go to bed and leave your windows open, and even your front door, most people were friendly, knew their neighbours and cared about them and even looked out for them. If you lent someone a dollar they paid you back and if a person gave you their word they lived up to it. We didn't have air-conditioning, coloured TV, a self parking car or microwave and we certainly didn't have the internet, ATM's, Facebook or Tic tok, but yes things were much better. You were swerved by a real person and if you phoned a business you weren't left hanging on with a droning voice telling you your call is important but no important enough to speak to you. More and more now I hear people say they preferred things when they were younger.

I always wanted to be a Mum. In the process I have been a nurse, a psychologist, a teacher, a companion, a protector, a carer and so much more. It has been my greatest joy and sorrow, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It was just the ass I chose to be their father that was the problem.

I agree with most people.Health and Family are important and life is too short to have arguments and issues with people as you never now what is around the corner. Our family have just lost our 31 year old daughter in September 2023 after a 12 months battle with cancer. Now besides our own grieving we have to deal looking after her 9 year old daughter and trying to explain that mummy loved her and she will be watching over her always.Hugs your loved ones and tell them every day that you love them

The worst thing ever pulled was against my Dad. It would never enter his mind that someone - especially someone who supposedly loved him - could or would ever be so cruel. He and his girlfriend at the time had been talking their future and whether or not they should get married and move in together, selling one of their homes. They always decided no, they both liked their homes and couldn't agree on who would sell. One day this woman came to my Dad and said she's thought about it some more and she will marry him and sell her house. He was happy that they could be together and he could keep the home he'd built for his family. Once she had him totally hooked and getting excited about the prospect of this she goes, "April fool!!". He was humiliated! Shocked! Angry! This was the worst thing playing with his emotions like that. I'm not sure that I've forgiven her for it just yet because I still get angry at her for that when I think about it. Their relationship always had that scar on it and he never again asked her to marry him. They still went out a couple of times a week for a while but he started introducing her to new people as 'my friend' and not 'my girlfriend'. I never liked April Fool's Day because most people don't know how to prank well... putting sugar in the salt shaker is okay but nothing harmful in ANY way... physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. It's just mean and unacceptable.

I no longer like to use the word respect. To me respect is earned not given as of right for position. I use the word courtesy. This came about because of a headmaster at one of my kids school said he "deserved respect" as he was headmaster. It didn't matter that a decision he had made was not correct for the situation [not just my opinion it didn't directly affect my child so no bias] I always show courtesy as stated above respect is earned

It amazes me now when it says sex there are so many options and once upon a time it was either male or female. Are we now going to have to have jails for all the others? Jails with no gender at all or does it go from what you were born as? Put in males that are now females or vice versa would be rather dangerous. It's more excepted these days too and people are choosing to raise their children as neither gender which I think can be confusing for every one especially the child. Why can't we just except what we are born as and be happy with that. There's always some one that wants change and can't be happy with what they have, it's so sad and it does destroy families which is even sadder again.

The world is full of mostly self-styled Experts. the worst of all the those ghastly so-called Celbrities and Influencers, most of whom haven't got half a brain to start with, have no real knowledg about anything and yet, sadly, incredibly stupid people hang on their every word. Suddenly some male ort female bimbo on some TV channel, who spends most of their time giggling and, seemingly, thinking every word they and the others on the couch are screamingly funny, starts being referred to as a Celebrity, as if they are important. Why? The there are the, again self-styled, Influencers. Just whom do they think they are influencing? Other than having over-blown egoes just what do any of these male and female brain-dead bimbos know about anything? Make up your own minds, ladies and gentlemen, if you want to know if anything is any good, go out, buy it and judge for yourselves and you'll probably get a much more intelligent result.

Manually - I’ve sometimes just let autocorrect go without rereading and have sent people some shocking swear words!

I wouldn't call it art, and I wouldn't call it a scam, after all, any buyers can see exactly what they're getting.

I am guessing you are referring to my home country Australia. With the very well deserved Australian of the Year Award going to the University of Sydney Professors Georgina Long AO and Richard Scolyer AO, co-medical directors of the Melanoma Institute Australia I am fairly confident of changes in the future. I think they mentioned in their acceptance speech that they are pushing for a free mole mapping program throughout Australia.

I always thought a Silver Fox referred to a good-looking older man. I have never heard it used about a woman before. We live and learn.

Sounds great but, in Australia, where we have 4 Large Supermarket chains, Aldi, Coles, Foodland IGA and Woolworths, the instant any of them, particularly Coles or Woolworths, they are both big but not as big as Foodland IGA and compared to the rest of the world minnows when compared to the likes of the 12,000 stroong Aldi shops, try to do anything the self-appointed Great Protectors of the Public, Australia's majority Foreign Owned Media and the Taxpayer Owned Australian Broadcasting Commission accuse them of bullying, of standover tactics. Coles and Woolworths simply cannot win, never mind that they are Australian, they employ 100s of 1000s of Australians and unlike German-owned Aldi they keep the money they make in Australia and pay their fair share of Australian Taxes. We don't shop Aldi because of their dishonest advertising.

No, it is just another day. Actual date for Christmas for those who think of it the way it was intended should be October but it was moved to December for religious recruitment purposes (to convert both pagans and people of other faiths into Christianity). Orthodox Christmas is in January (except for the Greeks who do it with the Catholics in December. Why should you get excited when people tend to behave even more horribly and more entitled in this period? How can you get excited if you are working in this period or you live in a town that will get invaded by drop in holiday makers (which means lots of loud and obnoxious parties)?

As I'm getting to the end of my life, of course, I look back through my past. Things I did, people I've met and the things that maybe I should have done.

Maybe the attendees of the climate summits should not take private jets and limos. They could do it by a zoom call. It was good enough for our children. We can all do a little, I personally can’t afford an electric car, but if the millionaires in DC want to buy one for me I would gladly drive it.

Speak for yourself :-))! My pension is 100% tax-free and the amount is 'quite' generous (and I get a 'quite' generous COLA - every four years - 4%). - and I have been retired for 25 years and counting. In addition, I get an alimony check from my ex-wife - every month since our divorce. Hence, my retirement is on the decadent and hedonistic level. Furthermore, I am a member of rewardia.com - I can't ask in all honesty ask for more (anyway not in good conscience) - LIFE IS GOOD! I will sheepishly admit my retirement is GREAT!

A bit the same only a bit older, would like to say and wiser but th at is open to debate. One can be alone and at the same time never lonely.

My 'money' and I have no 'hang-ups' about asking the staff about the price of an item (shops without prices)!

There was a news item recently about a nun who has passed away...I think she was 114...to pad out the news story they found some footage of her at her last birthday party...she blew out the candles..and clearly said, in front of a crowd of well wishers...when asked a question "I just want to die"...they clearly didn't notice in the editing...so they left that bit in there.......you only need to live as long as you are enjoying it....

Staying at home ... it costs far less, I know where everything is, I can't "forget" anything, there aren't piles of tourists, ....

I had thought of Australia being enlightened when compared to the USA. However, when things go bad - blame minorities or indigenous people - standard operating procedure for the majority - LOL!

There is no time limit on grief. It takes as long as it takes. My mother died in 2014 and, while most of the time I'm fine, there are still moments when I'll just suddenly burst into tears. Mum lost twins seven years before I was born, yet she still got quiet, and a little down, when it would of been their birthday. I still see things when I'm in a store and think "Ooh, mum would love that", and then I remember. Grief is a wound. It may scab over, even scar lightly, but it never fully heals. Sometimes it feels like it's forever since she died, other moments, it's like it was yesterday. I find the run up to Mother's Day to be hard (not the day itself). All the advertising "Remember Mum this Mother's Day", I just want them to shut up. And the run up to Christmas... Both our birthdays are at the beginning of December (3 days apart), so that's hard. My uncle died 2 weeks ago, and his birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so this year is going to be hard. My thoughts go out to all who are grieving.

No. I don't get star struck. Actors, singers, etc. are people just like everybody else. Yes I have favorite actors and singers but I don't go all crazy to meet them. I just enjoy what they do. They are not better than anybody else.

there are some things you just don't do,, like you wouldn't take a dog called [shark] to the beach, I guess some relationships are like algebra you look at your x and wonder y

The cat "I'm hungry, I'm hungry, I'm hungry..." and she already conveys that very well. The dog "I love you all so much. Wanna play? Is that a treat? I Iove you. I love you"

I would prefer rewardia. com increase the amount of points and/or reward amounts for participating - right now - 2000 points equals $1 and you need 10,000 points to cashout!

I complain a lot about how Rewardia continues to cut down on points all the time..and how it gets harder and harder to just get 50000 points...does that count?

I try to do a pre check of any place i am going with hubby. He drives a power chair-he only has minimal use of thumb and forefinger in left hand so has a joystick control. But boy does he plough his way through a shop and if something is in the way the chair will get through...he doesn't care if his presence is made known. I hate scenes so run ahead making way. Can be v stressful. Some shops are so cluttered and aisles tiny..it sucks and makes me so mad. Esp shops such as 2$ shops- where we would like to go since we no longer have money- but they are terrible for w/chairs and walkers etc. Have complained to Mall but they said it was the shop owners responsibility. Sigh. We don't have an issue with seats as hubby has his w/chair at least. And if a seat is in the way at a cafe table he will nudge it out of the way with his w/chair. Going out is quite nerve-wracking. We never go into our previously loved 2nd hand shops- too cramped and crowded- and he drove out once with a clothesrack accidentally attached to the back of his headrest..sounds funny now but not at the time. Also he rammed into a giftcard carousel on purpose after the shop owner (another 2$ shop) told him off for accidentally knocking something in the over crowded store. He backed up his chair like a bull and started driving towards it..i knew he couldn't be stopped and i hid around the corner.

The earliest records of people complaining about the crazy younger generation and how everything is falling to pieces...and how they should be more like older people was written (I think) in Ancient Rome...by some character wearing a leather skirt and sandals....the more things change, the more they stay the same.....
