When I trained as an EN (Enrolled Nurse) in the early 1990's I was paid for the entire year, whether it was a study day or a working on the ward day. As a newly divorced mother with 3 young children I could not have done it if I had to pay for it instead of being paid. Having hands on training is best for good patient care. Years later so many times young RN's would come onto the ward doing a 'placement' and they would complain about having to do some basic nursing task, they would say that they are supposed to be giving medications and taking blood for tests not making beds and emptying bed pans. They are just in the job for the money and the 'prestige'.

Most people who cheat are narcissists that think they will never be caught. When found out they first go on the offensive and say it's all in your mind, then when given incontrovertible proof they blame you for your inadequacies or say it was a mistake and they'll never do it again, which is a lie. They just think next time they'll be more careful. I was married for 50 years and he cheated for most of that time. I never told anyone and had no support, until my daughter picked up the other line at home and caught him talking to his bit on the side. She supported me and gave me the strength to dump his a$$. He was a bully and treated me like his maid not an equal. I should have told someone sooner.

When a woman changes to being a man and partners with a man who has become a woman, and the woman who changed to male, but only had top surgery, has their baby. Visually that disturbs me.

No way!! It is not a vaccine. It is mRNA gene therapy which will permanently alter your DNA.. It has been rushed and skipped animal trials. It has not been fully approved and is ONLY being used under so called "Emergency measures". No long-term side effects are known and many have had severe reactions, permanent injury and death from this vaccine world-wide. They have said it will not stop you getting covid, becoming ill with covid OR transmitting covid to others. In fact they say we will still have to social distance, wear masks and still have to quarantine at our own expense if travelling. So what is the point for a virus with a 99.97% recovery rate without a vaccine?

I prefer my option. I retired on a 100% disability (other words my monthly federal civil service retirement checks (USA) are tax free) - I have been retired for over 24 years and counting - Life is Good (anyone for me :-))!

I personally wouldn't want to eat a meal that has had that many people touching it & breathing on it in this day & age. But, to each their own.

WHAT . Maybe AnynomousUser1234 needs to get a better translator or stop drinking the funny juice??? Maybe people need to get better organised. public transport is not expensive and if you are in dire financial hardship there are plenty of places to get a travel voucher. Next people will be wanting free food and homes.... Get a job, get your life organised and realise nothing is free you need to work and pay your own way.

The lower the points the less I do. I still wonder who does the average less than 250 point ($0.25 cents !) per survey ???. Reading below it seems all of you. No doubt they will going down again shortly and be an average of 100 points (10 cents !) per survey soon and no doubt you will all keep doing them. Ummmmmm.

What is bitcoin? Simply put, bitcoin is a digital currency. No bills to print or coins to mint. It's decentralized -- there's no government, institution (like a bank) or other authority that controls it. Owners are anonymous; instead of using names, tax IDs or social security numbers, bitcoin connects buyers and sellers through encryption keys. And it isn't issued from the top down like traditional currency; rather, bitcoin is "mined" by powerful computers connected to the internet. How does one 'mine' bitcoin? A person (or group, or company) mines bitcoin by doing a combination of advanced math and record-keeping. Here's how it works. When someone sends a bitcoin to someone else, the network records that transaction, and all the other transactions made over a certain period, in a "block." Computers running special software -- the "miners" -- inscribe these transactions in a gigantic digital ledger. These blocks are known, collectively, as the "blockchain," an eternal, openly accessible record of all the transactions that have ever been made.

Putting a health warning on cigarettes was as pointless as applying it to other items...you can make the product have ugly packaging..but people will smoke if they want to (until the majority bully them into not doing at all)..and the same applies to alcohol...I really don't like our current smug society...we used to have a democracy...but now we have a majority bullying everyone else to conform...its not just cigarettes or alcohol...its what you should think and what you can say...its creepy and terrible...1984 and worse... AND I really REALLY hate it...I'm glad I'm getting older and won't have to put up with all this shit that much longer...and I never imagined that that would be the case... HEADS UP.....what you are allowed to eat is probably next...but by that time you'll probably be so beaten down and compliant that you will barely even notice....welcome to your future..

No, it has always been that way where I work. The doctor insisted. It has made no difference the Covid. I only work 1 day a week now as am retired. However, the doctor has always said if you are sick stay home as it is not fair on the patients....or him.

There is more to life in communities than just drinking. There might be less domestic violence for instance. there are hundreds of different ways to socialize than getting together for a drink. Some communities are being destroyed by excess drinking. Aboriginal women are being killed more often as a result. Publicans have exploited customers for far too long. It is time to enjoy each other's company without the effects of liquor.

I have 4 kids and when they were under 5 Flying with them was extremely challenging, especially from New Zealand to Texas. I personally think rather than complaining about the kids..why not offer to help or invest in some decent ear plugs!!

We've been conditioned for years. They're already here amongst us. You've only got to take a look at the WEF's Mr. Schwab, his snake sidekick and the likes of Zuckerberg to know this. We are only even told the truth when it's old news.

Sorry boss I can’t get to work today we had a power cut through the night and i don’t have enough charge to get to work! A new Excuse for those wanting a day off! Also what if fire ambo or police ran out of charge oh way to job.. eeek

I am 89 & bloody independent. I manage & don't want to be a burden on my family. They deserve a life of their own

I Ike listen to story about health stuffs as this help me understand more. I never make fun of peoples.

They are called hobbies and not jobs for a reason. They are things you enjoy. They hurt no one and give you great pleasure! Anyone that tells you to stop is so wrong! I have numerous hobbies that actually cost me money, not make me money! I love to go for drives on dirt roads in the woods which I do alone. Sometimes I stop and talk to the wildlife or just stop and thank God for His beautiful creations! It brings me great pleasure to the point of even being closer to God. It is spiritual for me, and I love it! It sounds crazy for some, I'm sure, but you do your thing, I'll do mine! I've been unable to leave the house due to anxiety, so I haven't been out of the house for year! I so appreciate what others don't even notice! As horrible as my panic attacks have been, it taught me the true meaning of life and to love myself and others. I could always love people, but not myself. Now, I do love myself, and my anxiety is gone and all the horrible thoughts about myself are gone, however, stress does trigger them, and I have to be aware of that and stop the negative thinking in its tracks. Recently, my car broke down and had to be towed. I have been stuck in the house because I ran out of money this money and have had no money to pay the $600+ repair bill. I feel very anxious, and the self-loathing is trying to come back. If driving in the woods heals me in all ways, then I'm going to have to figure out how to afford it. I'm worried about winter coming because I won't be able to do what I enjoy so much! I live in Pa., and winters can be harsh. I'm 70, and I don't like being out on the ice and snow. However, I do enjoy driving in the snow! These roads are not maintained in the winter, but winter can be beautiful depending on how you look at it. I love Pa., and all its natural beauty! I am blessed! So do whatever brings you joy! As long as you're not hurting anyone, go for it! Tell them to kiss your butt and find their own thing that brings them joy, so they are happy and don't need to judge you!

It's happening all over the world. It's who can get away with the biggest lie no matter who it hurts. It happens in all parts of life these days, not only in the news. Honesty is a thing of the past.

Do you actually mean you were Bullied at your workplace? Your entire comment simply does not make any sense whatsoever. If English is your second language then why don't you contact one of the hundreds of agencies which specialize in teaching Adults to Read, Write and Spell, one of them regularly advertises their telephone number on TV. To the person at Rewardia who vets this "Discussion of the day" segment why did you allow this comment to appear?

This inflationary rise is by design in order to crash the economies of the world and destroy the fiat money system so that the WEF can bring in their Fourth Industrial Revolution and confirm their "Great Reset" which will cause a completely digital economy to replace the present democratic countries and bring in the NWO. Anyone who hasn't been paying attention to these psychopaths ought to because the end game is to cause a global famine that would lead to their being able to reduce global populations by more than 2/3rds and get rid of us "useless eaters"! The time is rapidly approaching when families will have to make a choice between paying the mortgage or rent or eating. It is THAT serious. But TPTB don't want riots on their hands so they have already destroyed the health of billions around the globe with their deadly shots, falsely labelled "vaccines" and in a 12 month period from, I believe, February 2021 to February 2022 the US suffered as many deaths in the working age population than died in the entire Vietnam war. The millenials are dropping like flies especially from cardiac issues. This is an absolute fact but you won't hear it on MSM. The hyperinflation will render the currency of virtually every country useless just like In Venezuela and Zimbabwe and Yugoslavia in the 1990's. The war in Russia and Ukraine is merely a distraction and someone to blame for this manufactured shortage and supply chain issues, but they have existed for far longer than just a few months. If you can afford to stock up on foods like beans, grains, pasta's and tinned foods do it IMMEDIATELY. Same applies if you have the capacity to pay extra on your mortgage or rent. A global crisis far worse than the Great Depression is coming and by later this year even MSM won't be able to hide it. Mock if you like but I have plenty of other things to do rather than spread lies on a survey platform. It's going to be HORRIFIC!

Never think that everyone around you thinks the same way that you do...almost none of them do...and don't make any assumptions or plans based on that idea...people are seriously much more weird than you can possibly imagine ...that took me way far too long to work out...It'll save you a lot of time and effort.... ..I might write a book about it

I believe everything needs to go back to basics. Start with respect and manners and that starts in the home. These days a lot of children are basically raised by day care centers. If you want to have children stay home for a few years with them and give your children a good start in life.

I have been drawn t0 0thers needs first since i was y0ung- but n0w kn0w i get my 0wn rewards being there f0r 0thers, my keybrd nt wrking- u cn guess which Ietter!! frustrating!!!

I have Three Wishes and Two of them are achievable. One: Getting rid of the Scandal-plagued Morrison Federal Government - The Sports rorts, The Car Park rorts, The Extra-marital affairs (Adultery) by both Women and Men, the endless Lies, the subservience to the USA and US-inspired Confrontation towards China. To rid ourselves of the most Divisive, most Dishonest, Racist Government we will need to elect large numbers of Independents to control both Houses. That way they can force whichever minority government - be it Coalition or ALP is irrelevant for they are both as bad as each other. Two: To rid ourselves of the current Inept, Dishonest State Liberal Government of South Australia and, as with Canberra, elect large numbers of Independents to control both Houses of the SA Parliament and force the minority government - be it ALP or Liberal is irrelevant because one is as bad as the other - to act in the Interests of All SA citizens and not just their mates. Three: To declare Australia Neutral - we can, and should, be friends with all, as we used to be until the Morrison Federal Government handed Australia over to the USA and then exacerbated the solvable problems with China by joining in with the USA's Policy of Confrontation.

I hope so this life is not the best at times . I wish there was no hell I do not want any one to go there. I do think there is a good and after life hoping for a good one and for others to

Well if we were happier then we wouldn't need masks, we'd be able to face the world head on. The world is in such a state it takes a huge effort just to hold our heads up high.

Old School? It is where your Teachers were only required to actually Teach you to Read, Write and do Arithmetic! They were NOT, as they are today by Lazy Parents, expected to actually bring up the children as well. Old School was when Parents taught their children Manners, how to behave but at the same time to ask endless questions which the parents should answer truthfully - no matter how awkward! To show respect towards others until that person shows they deserve none. Old School was when Parents made sure their children were fed before going to school and at least one of them was at home when their child/children got home from school. Where Parents - no matter their Race, Ethnicity, Religion - ensured their children actually went to school. Old School is a combination of what Parents, Children and Teachers should do. Today far too many Parents think the Teachers should do it all.

As an Aussie who's news media has been blocked by Fb, what is this free speech you speak of? Even our TV news is totally leftist. We are only being told what the government wants us to hear, and so much of that is sensationalist click bait headlines. We are not free to pray for homosexuals as we risk a huge fine and jail term, even if they are our own children we are praying for. One of our Australian rugby players was fired for a religious post on his own Fb wall....

Not just teachers but nurses and doctors in hospitals are being abused, shop assistants, police, people just in the street. It is out of control with the thugs and as I have said before, consequences relevant to the crimes and I do not care what age they are.

I shower daily, I wash my hair alternate days. When I worked in Aged Care we showered clients minimum of 3 days per week, 7 days if there were continence issues. (Community care, clients were still in their own homes)

I sure do. I love bonsais. I had several but had to get rid of them when we moved from WA to VIC. I will start again someday when we are settled in one place. I also love crocheting. I have quite a collection that I will sell when we can have some sort of market stall. Hopefully things will get back to normal so that it can happen.

Let's hope that COVID-19 kills off all the anti-vax morons so that their childish ignorance is removed from the world.

Unfortunately, the teachers of today are those students who were not taught grammar and punctuation when they were in school. I've seen mistakes on school reports written by teachers. I heard a young woman say that it's patronizing to put punctuation in a text message. Patronizing? I felt like asking her if she knew the meaning of the word!

my opinion, backed by English as it is written, Zing, is you have not shown a plural by putting in an apostrophe. as for Banks., Banking CEOs' emoluments... it's what the market says it needs. Credit card interest rates reflect the risk. Those risks now are greater with computer generated rippings-off. oh and it's your not you're... you're means you are. and too not to re CEOs. Banks are heading for the cashless society. It started with EFT-POS in NZ in September 1984, for those who remember, or in my case were involved. Criminals have already spotted that cash won't be king, it's time the honest citizens spotted it, too. Never waste a good crisis. Banks used Covid-19 as the excuse to close branches. You can't beat Banks.. so buy shares in them and stop moaning.

WOW sounds like you really have NOT retired. You are doing an amazing job. Many retirees return to working out of boredom or not being able to survive on the measly pension. I retired any years ago due to emphysema and more recently a lung cancer diagnoses. Since then I had set up a foodbank at my own cost which I ran from home on behalf of my church but they wanted to use it only to help people within our church instead of anyone in need, so I closed it. I then volunteered at another local foodbank for a while. These days I grow fresh vegetables all year round to help people in need through a local charity PLUS I counsel victims of abuse and domestic violence FREE of charge. But hey, this is nothing compared to the great work YOU are doing...Keep up the good work

Also my friend had an angry look between her eyes, and she wasnt an angry person at all. 2 botox treatments later, just eased that look, she can still move her face, but that deep angry line has softened. Looks good and natural.

The main cause of all our problems is overpopulation. There are only so many recources on this planet. There is only so much drinkable water and land to grow food. And no matter what enviromental policies you put in place, more people cause more pollution..The only way out of it is srict worldwide birth control.Maximum 2 children per family

I do believe in the afterlife. My sister recently passed away peacefully and I feel her presence with me every day.

Everybody seems to think that it will be over soon...it probably won't...let's worry about the present and the next couple of years

l think that if you do the crime than you should pay for it. Why should the family if the murdered victims have to pay for the killer's keep while they have lost their lived one or some child molesters who has no intention of changing, they are a waste of space and resources, they should be put down.

We will see the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer while politicians will tell more lies

It depends on the award and how hard you worked for it. I was awarded the Howarth and Howath Prize (correct spelling) for Financial Management 3B. I had not studied economics or accounting in school and so picked it up at uni as a mature aged student. My closest challenger was a lad who was working for his dad's accounting business and was an entitled turd. I was working in the fishing industry at the time. We both went into the exam with a score of 96% and I scored 99% on my exam. I still smile at this because the students had no idea who I was and had their noses out of joint that their silver spoon boy didn't win. One for the working class!

NEVER EVER use "finance" / "investment" companies. They're all run by greedy people solely interested in filling their own pockets. Unless you can afford to lose money, also never invest in the markets either (share market, money market, etc.). Completely avoid fad idiocies like bitcoin. Simply invest money with a well-known, long-established, large brand bank, at their local branch, using a normal term deposit investment. Yes, you may well make less interest on the investment than some investment company offers, but your money is far safer and cannot go down ... the higher the interest rate = the higher risk. As a side note, in New Zealand, the government does now guarantee deposits up to something like $100,000 per investment held with licensed companies - mainly banks, but there are a few long-established investment companies too. So even if the bank / company suddenly goes bankrupt, your deposit is safe and returned (eventually).

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we're encouraged to do all we can to stay together. Actually, our Watchtower study for Sunday morning is titled, "Keep Strengthening Your Friendship With Your Mate". It talks about "How To Choose A Lifelong Friend", "Spend Time Together Building Your Friendship", and "Stick Together When Challenges Arise". An insert reminds us where to find "Help to Strengthen Your Friendship". (April 2026 issue, June 29-July 5 study article). We rarely, if ever, see a couple divorcing! This issue and others can be found on jw.org. 🥰

Really?...I grew up in the suburbs of Brighton UK...we did high speed home made go-cart races down really steep hills...some tunneling and excavation work (luckily no-one died) and a wide series of tree platforms and stations that were made mostly with stolen scaffolding from local building sites...ah happy days...listening to the abuse from the builders below...when you had outrun them AND out climbed them AND they had given up chasing you!...(they were huge angry guys!) all the other things we are accused of doing I strongly deny...all that stuff with the buses and that one incident with the helicopter?...that wasn't us...it was probably other kids..and you cannot prove it...being a kid was SO much fun!

No, I'd switch. In fact I did switch and just as I was about to complete the forms the company I was with rang offering me the same deal, so I stayed where I was. I have been wondering about power companies lately because they charge so much but they all seem to be giving stuff away. Red Energy is giving Qantas Frequent Flyer points away to new customers, another company is giving a subscription to Netflix away to new customers, and tonight AGL is offering new customers the chance to win an EV. Why can't they stop the freebies and lower the prices?

I do not have any I dont travel any more I have seen everything I have wanted to and lived in a lot of countrys over my time its time for me to stay at home now

I listen to CDs mainly still have tapes laying around but haven't listened to those for a while. I tend to put a CD on when I am doing housework and crank it up so the whole neighbourhood enjoys it, I hope.😇

What rubbish. You develop yourself and your skills throughout your whole life. A gap year when you're young is just an excuse. There's plenty of time to travel and enjoy yourself. Get a job and buy that house that every millennial is complaining that they'll never own. I left school and worked for 40 years. No yrs off for having children or gap years. I've had a wonderful life, travelled and now own a beautiful home.

dont follow influencers. ,I do follow and watchreal life people doing everyday things, eg farming life etc

A resort in the Maldives Spent my honeymoon there 25 years ago and it was amazing 🏝️ These days though my dream is living and travelling around NZ in my campervan for 2026. Just waiting on the sale of my property, then I’m off 🏔️🚎✨🐬🦭

For those of you shopping in Australia electricity cost has risen by 40% over the last two years because the Government is hell bent on going to renewable power generation and on last nights news they said it will go up at least 24% IN THE COMING YEAR. This drive to renewables is going to cost a fortune and it feeds through all levels of production. In Qld they just built a battery storage to capture home Solar generated power that would otherwise go to waste, it cost $200million and if called on in a blackout it will last from 2 - 4 hours and if not called on then if the batteries are charged then the power will still go to waste. So maybe the Supermarkets are ripping us off but price increases are being fueled by this mad rush to renewables when there are much cheaper sources of power that don't only work when the sun shines or the wind blows. I'd like to mention that the two major Supermarkets are US owned, maybe we should think about getting them back into Australian hands. Your Superannuation, $4.5trillion is mostly invested in overseas countries, have you seen the movement in the $A v $US in the last week or so, almost a 4% improvement, that equates to a 4% loss in those funds?? could do much better here if we put our mind to it.

every year its different but this year my little grandson Nova, and he lost a tooth yesterday because it was Christmas the tooth fairy left 20 dollars ,i was in good spirits but anyways after the unwrapping session this morning ,he asked what did Santa bring me, I told him I had been naughty and Santa didn't come, he put on a frown and went into his room to look at his prezzies i thought ,but he came back with his tooth fairy money so i could have a present, I was so impressed and proud i went down to the servo to get him some ROBLOX credit cost me 15 i gave that to him then he said i could spend 10 dollars of that 20 and give him 10 back so he doesn't upset the tooth fairy, so now i owe him 10

It would be great except for if you get sick and need more room and a place close to amenities (hospital, doctor, medical help).

It is called MATERIALISM (aka CAPITALISM). Have we gone crazy? YES! Hopeful fossil fuels do not run out during my lifetime - since Earth is the only planet we CAN live on - LOL!

NO I don't trust AI It gives out too much false information too easy to hack Easier for scammers costs jobs

People are broke because they do not live within their means. They've become addicted to NOW NOW NOW and with technology this allows for impulses to be capitalized upon...over and over again. People are slaves to debt and work....thus...slaves to over-consumerism because they say they "deserve" things. Which is insane.

Getting along with anyone is 'Mind over Matter' if you think about it. We could ALL get along Anywhere and Everywhere on the earth if people would just make up their mind to do so. How do you think Jehovah's Witnesses get along so well? We're all imperfect people. The difference is we follow Jesus' example while on earth, and follow the examples given in the Bible, overlook small hurtful things that happen, talk to the person about large hurtful things, and forgive them all! Is it easy? NO! But it's required to live or work happily with family, friends or acquaintances, and it's required by our God, Jehovah! ;-D

no. Passwords would be useless. Although if it was just how it was from day one. I don't think anyone would be able to comprehend what it would be like. So I was saying they're out there to get us with all there smart gadgets, Phones, Watches, Glasses, ear plugs the list goes on. The elite are trying to achieve being able to read their peasants thoughts still it may be here soon. Maybe our Neo robots will be able to do it if the smart earbuds can't.

The book I remember the best is a Golden Book titled: 'Pokey Little Puppy'. I don't know why I remember it so well, except that the 'puppy' was very cute! ;-D

I have been homeless on two different occasions and no religion came along to assist me. I now own 9 houses due to my own mental strength. Timothy never turnrd up at any stage.

Be that rebel without a cause .. it's you and you alone who deals with the outcome . Take advice if you like it , or leave it if you don't .Find your tribe , have fun ,live life the way you want to do it without it adversely affecting others wherever possible. Just be true to your own morals and follow your heart. You were put on this earth as your 'Self ' so how can it be selfish to live it as you ?

I have a cat, he has his own bank account.. I put in $10 a month. If he needs a vet I hope he has enough in his bank account. If he never needs one, he can spend it on anything he needs !

In the case of what is potentially a domestic violence case, the police should have spoken to both parties. To not speak to the woman, just because the man seemed nice is gross misconduct. This is how people die at the hands of their partners, when the people that are there to protect you fail at doing their job. This is incomprehensible. I would call the police, and explain what you've just told us. Thank you for calling, most people turn a blind eye. Having been in this situation before, I wish someone like you had come to my aid. You did a good thing to help someone in need, so I commend you for doing the right thing.

It is easy to not use water if you just think a bit. Yes, the makers of automatic dishwashers try to convince you that they use less water than Hand washing but then they would wouldn't they? They are trying to sell them. Do you really need to Pre-Rinse dishes before putting them into that Water and Energy sapping machine? Do you Really need to have your dishes sterilised? Do you really need to have them heated to boiling point to dry them? The answer is: NO. We wash our dishes ONCE a day, by hand and we use, at most 8 litres of water and enough Energy to have the Water at about 45C.

We should ban the public sale of fireworks. Every year there are too many injuries of people & animals and too many fires. Just have professionally run fireworks displays.

family love is the best treatment one can have . Yes money is everything, but does not buy love. I have a friend who needs help every week for his appointment Make it my mission to take him to his appointment and bring him back home for love.

I guess they need the energy and motivation to do all the activities. I know that running around at the park and shopping exhaust my kids.

enjoy them no matter what because they will be grown and gone sooner than you think. that time will only go fast once you realise they have their own lives/families

Does the world have a wellbeing problem - YES - in 'real time' known as - economic and social inequalities, public health emergencies, wars, climate crisis, etc. FYI: In the country I reside - USA - we are exposed to too much to DONALD JOHN TRUMP on television and on online - just hearing his names on the news on an ongoing daily basis creates negative emotions at historical high levels in the USA.

I don't have children - NOT one of my many issues! However, some 'adults' should never have access to social media - example - Donald John Trump.

Well that can happen when the person is alive too. My Mum doesn't remember what she had for dinner the night before but remembers growing up during the war and being bombed out twice. Her short term memory is like non existent but she can still play a mean game of scrabble. Some times we don't listen to the important things because life gets busy or it not quite the right time, don't dwell on that. Mistakes happen and we have to get on with life but make sure you allow your self to grieve too. Go through his photos and remember him lovingly. After all he was your Dad. Don't hate a day because of the commercialism where it's all about spending money, Father's Day can mean so much more if you just put in a little imagination. Go for a picnic or have a nice lunch, go for a walk and reminisce the Dad you had. Sorry for your loss and he lived a long time and I am sure he had a great life. You are apart of his legacy. Remember him fondly in the things that make you unique.

Check the label! Here in Canada, the law says that the manufacturer must declare how flammable a garment is. Look for the fire code on the garment. I don't know where you are "hearing" all these complaints but they are quite probably bogus. What does a jacket have to do with someone going missing? If they had a different kind of jacket they would never, ever disappear? And "The Human Torch"? What was that person doing so carelessly around a fire in the first place? These examples sound like a conspiracy theory because some misguided 'influencer' doesn't like the style of jacket.

Same thing has happened to my son, always asked about drivers license.I suspect it's so the business knows they can rely on you to get to work and on time.A lot of people take public transport now rather than drive to work but they don't seem to take that in to consideration.

always recycle, reuse, pass to someone else. i do it with clothes, shoes and other things. while my recycling is not 100% i certainly try my best. i also use other, water system for bathroom, use recyclable kitchen towels in addition to my paper towels, to reduce my use of paper. i only buy clothes i know i need, use clothes i have until they need to be recycled. i donate ones that are still in good condition to people who may need them and cannot afford them, same with shoes. i do my best not to just throw things away. i am working towards minimalistic use of things in general but to be honest i find it challenging still.

Thank you for sharing such a personal and profound story. Forgiving someone who has caused such immense pain is incredibly challenging and deeply moving. It takes a great deal of strength and compassion to reach that point. How have you been feeling since that moment of forgiveness?

Sent my siblings and I out for the day with no supervision. We would go to the pool or ride bikes to the other end of town, play in creeks, disused tunnels, climb a tree and stay there for hours. All sorts of crazy things.

Grandparents help out because they love their grandkids. But it does require time and energy. I think some appreciation should be shown but not necessarily with money. Buy groceries for the old folks or treat them to a nice meal once in a while.

It really depends on who you go see. I've been to some Christian music concerts and they were true representation of love for God and Jesus Christ, hope. I've read about a concert by a group I'd never heard of and before the concert started they asked the audience who would like to give their life to Satan. CREEPY even writing those words down.

Wow that's the best looking boxed frozen fish fillet I think I have ever seen! And I don't even like it. Companies would be floundering in the water without the strange powers of advertising.... The money or the box? .. hmmm

People grieve in different ways for their animal companions. If you feel you can’t work then yes take the day off. If you can’t take sick day or take the day out of annual leave. Take leave without pay.

"Artificial Intelligence" is an oxymoron. A computer cannot possibly "learn" nor be "intelligent" in any way at all - a computer simply follows the instructions the programmer gave it. The whole artificial intelligence bandwagon is simply nonsense and most of it is nothing but pure gimmickry by greedy corporates trying to get fools to buy yet another updated, higher priced device they don't actually need and have no idea why they want it. 🙄

Advantages are minimal in comparison to the disadvantages and we are seeing more of those occurring in the younger generation who have really only lived a digital existence. Social media has become the mum, dad, nanny and companion to many children who are unable to live without their smart phones and without their online "friends". But the Big Tech companies knew what they were doing when they developed these platforms and now you have SM like Tik Tok which is targeted at the below 18 years population and owned by a company run by the CCP, which fills me with confidence that they have our best interests at heart, and the algorithms are not just causing terrible addiction in this age group but the kids don't know that their brain chemistry is being changed and rerouted and they can no longer concentrate for more than a few minutes at a time. Their brains are still developing and I am strongly against social media for youth under 18 years old. But the worst part of social media is the "social contagion" aspect with the way it is redefining what gender means to children enmasse and the uptick in online bullying leading to more children than ever before suiciding because of bullying occurring outside of school and in their own homes. Just a couple of weeks ago a 10 year old child killed himself because of being bullied. As a child who was bullied badly at school in the 1970's and early 1980's I at least could get away from the bullies once I left school for the day. Social media has provided a way for bullies to have 24/7 access to their victims and that's just terrible! If you weigh up the negatives and positives of social media I don't think that the benefits outweigh the negative impact that it has had on us globally. The only people who truly benefit are the owners and shareholders of these massive corporations and the kids are suffering due to their power and global influence. There needs to be more restrictions on its usage by our kids. Thanks for reading.

Not interested in trying again. I had the perfect relationship & after her death nobody could fill the void

No but as they have an international Women's Day then maybe they should have an International Men's Day. Then don't forget all the other genders that are out there! I agree - way too many "days". Let's just celebrate and respect each other and have peace in the world.

I was retrenched after 40 years service. They sent the work to another state but I was not offered a transfer at all although they were already short staffed over there.

I know that it is hard for single mothers to stay home to look after their sick children but it is not fair to other children who are open to catching the sickness. I don't know the answer!

I'm in my 70's and when l rode my bike in my youth we were not allowed to ride on the foot path. It was against the law. So why are they ride on foot paths now. They are called FOOT PATHS.

I am female and have never desired to be other than the way God created me. I was born from a Union of Two People, One Male and the Other Female and yet many have called me feminine man or “shemale” a coin word I hate and know that that are the feminine men and “shemales”. Now to your question. I am 68 years old and believe me I do not age but slowly will age for aging comes to all who walk and talk and live a life filled with love and caring and always ready to help others in need. My home is far away and I must return or many will suffer the fate of extinction and many more will cease to become flesh and live life on this plane. Earth must be cleansed and many must not live for all desire to have things they really have not much use for and all desire to live long lives and many will not live long merely 20-50 years and even maybe 75 years more on this planet. Man seek clothes, designer pants, designer dresses and are men and wear panties and wear brasseries and wear skirts with slits from waist to ankles and wear makeup to hide beards that come through at night when asleep and even when not asleep and even during the daylight hours. What fallacy that man have acquired to have others like me born female with female organs and female genitalia and female chest and no hormones ever taken by me. The world believe I am a pervert because I have chosen not to paint my face and not to wear perfume that masks body odor and not to speak as if I am not college educated or older than the very state that I live in which is Pennsylvania which is only 247 years old and even my best friend from High School say and has said she is younger than I and according to the Bible and I quote the passage, “let all who lie and say they are young and are old will not live and will die a quick and ugly death” for GOD Hates the liar and GOD Hates the thief and GOD Hates the man who wears dresses and wears brassiere and wears frocks to hide his penis and wears makeup and wears underpants with his penis tucked under and stretched and put hard in his backside. Most evil all, and I believe I have angered many but many have angered me and I AM GOD who have dictated these words to my chosen child and her name is Pamela Angela Mason and she loves ME and I AM GOD THE CREATOR WHO CALL all and many have chosen not to hear and still many have chosen not to live and still even many more have chosen not to believe that my chosen one is good or even smart or even have worked and saved and invested and created vaccines and babies that are beautiful and my own as well as their mother and I am Wesley George Henry, Jr. The SON of GOD and my FATHER is the ONE WHO SENT ME into this World many years ago to bring man and all back to HIM and I have tried to do just that and I HAVE FAILED where many are concerned and yet my chosen believe I AM GOOD and SMART and HAVE NOT FAILED WITH her nor her children who are MINE as well and so WE LEAVE Planet Earth for her HOME Far Far Far Far Away and then onto to MY Planet which is exactly 1821604882704010o11227633010o11622301o11402121122123124125126127128129130131132133134135136137138139140141142143144145146147148149150151152153154155156157158159160161162163164165166167168169170171172173174175176177178179180181182183184185186187188189190191192193194195196197198199200201202203204205206207208209210211212213214215216217218219220221222223224225226227228229230-999 and 100,000 light years away and I GO.

House prices rise, but so do wages (and everything else). Many of the people who complain they can't afford a house are wasting piles of money on restaurant dining, overseas holidays, continually updating their tech gadgets and cars, TV subscriptions, etc. In ye olde days people actually saved money for a deposit and they made sacrifices to pay off the mortgage (and the mortgage was often for a lot longer than the 30 years people expect to pay it off now). Nothing has really changed, other than the attitude of people. Having said that, prices are also artificially raised due to the greedy "investors" (local and non-resident) who buy multiple houses to rent out and/or do up and "flip" at a profit. If it had been illegal to own more than the one house you actually live in, house prices would be a lot lower.

I'm 60 this year. At work they call me "The Jedi. Not because I'm the oldest, which I am, but because I live in their words "the old ways." I don't own a smart phone, smart TV, 3-D printer or any of the other 100 things that this current generation thinks of as essential. I don't even own a credit card. I cut it up 20+ years ago when using it became too easy. I own my own house, plus an investment property, car, 2 investment Supers and $$$$ just sitting in my bank for an emergency. My co-workers are in their 30's to 40's and are in debt up to their eyeballs, living from payday to payday. They have all the latest gadgets but no real wealth at all. When I tell them this they just laugh at me. I had already owned my 1st home when I was their age. This generation is so hung up on the latest stuff and living "Now" on credit that by the time they retire they will still be renting. So yes, I don't like the future and technology. I am a Jedi/lol. But I'll tell you one thing...I'm happy that I'm the way I am. I'm worried about the current generation and their fixation on technology. All these easy options are keeping them poor and they can't see it cause everyone they know is doing the same thing. And they look at someone like me...laugh, and call me old.

Deviled eggs and cheese on crackers Baked turkey wings with stuffing cornbread and apple pie and brownies and scallop potatoes, shrimp mac and cheese, collard greens and a salad, Strawberry smoothies and adult cranberry juice. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone.

I went to the doctor and told him I had a weak back. He asked me when I first got it. I answered: “about a week back”!

I have received a message from my bank twice asking me if I had made a certain purchase on my credit card and both times it wasn't us. Somehow people have been able to get our credit card number but our beaut bank picked it up. The last one was a $4000 lunch. I contacted the restaurant asking them to report the fraud to the police but they said they were letting their bank handle it. I don't understand their attitude because if they didn't see the person ordering the food they must have delivered it, my bank stopped the purchase so why wouldn't they want to get their money back. This is why these crooks keep going, no-one wants the bother of reporting the crime to the police.

This is something that does not bother me because if something gets too noisy, I take out my hearing aids.

Do we still really need this sort of extravagance? They can cost many tens of thousands and for what? Aren't these marriages just a carryover from the days of religion? Once it was Until Death do us part. Today it seems to be Until the First argument followed by a very bitter Divorce. Today, more than ever before, people are having great trouble getting together the money for a deposit on a home. Instead of wasting it all for just one day of pleasure, why not put it towards that house you want to buy?

I honestly believe that every city in the world should have a "Garage of Donations" (GOD) where everyone donates anything they don't use or want anymore, and where everyone who needs or wants those things should get them for FREE! Our Garage of Blessings is a recycle place where this is done. They run on donations, once a year sales to raise money, and volunteers who sort and put the items out in the building sorted by what it is. I have used and donated to them for almost 10 years. It saves people money, and saves the landfills. It won't cost anyone anything! RECYCLE, Please! ;-D

The whole concept of "good manners " went by the wayside when we lost the ability to punish our kids with a swift kick in the pants. The current generation have no respect at all. Rewarding phone use? That's subjective. If someone is in conversation with me, I expect their full attention. People in public? Well they're not disrespecting me personally, so I overlook that. Although hands-free calls can be annoying. I was visiting someone at a hospital a while back. I got into the lift with rather attractive doctor. As the doors closed she said, "Hi, how are you?" As there was no one else in the lift I said, "Good thanks." She, then stunned me by asking what I was doing on the weekend. I told her it depended on my wife. She then swung her eyes toward me and indicated that she was using a hands-free device. I was so embarrassed.

Technology is here to confirm and control us. We are lucky we have sensible people in our area, you want a 'scooter' you need to pay to register, and if you can get insurance you can't ride. So they get you with LAZY apps etc. THIS world has turned to satan and going to hell in a handbasket on warp speed.
