Apps aren't as secure as websites, not your side but the other end and people you interact with. I still use the website but my bank is trying to close it and push me off onto an app of course because it's cheaper, but I'm not going without a loud noise. Not everyone wants to bank online, some people forget how to do things online as they age, some people aren't as capable as others to go online or on an app so Banks should be somewhat responsible for pushing everyone online where they get ripped off or scammed. Recently, my car broke down and had to be towed. I have been stuck in the house because I ran out of money this money and have had no money to pay the $600+ repair bill. I feel very anxious, and the self-loathing is trying to come back. If driving in the woods heals me in all ways, then I'm going to have to figure out how to afford it. I'm worried about winter coming because I won't be able to do what I enjoy so much! I live in Pa., and winters can be harsh. I'm 70, and I don't like being out on the ice and snow. Yes it is tough out there .We are a couple of aged pensioners & I can get 4 meals from a medium chicken ,Pot of chook stock(I boil the chook using onions ,carrots & celery(don't over cook keep the stock & veg)use the 2 legs(not thighs) & wings.I brown them & with roast potatoes & veg, I use a little amount of stock to make gravy.Meal 1.The thighs we have cold with Salad,Meal 2. 1/2 the stock I put diced pumpkin & diced potato in cook gently in the stock when cooked I mash vegies well for wholesome pumpkin soup & serve with crusty bread meal 3. ,The breast I break in pieces I drain a tin of asparagus pieces add to chicken,I make a white sauce using stock(not milk)Add a handful frozen peas meal 4. (All dishes seasoned to your taste) we freeze some if portions too large. also eat other meats . I shared these recipes for others on a budget .

For those of you shopping in Australia electricity cost has risen by 40% over the last two years because the Government is hell bent on going to renewable power generation and on last nights news they said it will go up at least 24% IN THE COMING YEAR. In Qld they just built a battery storage to capture home Solar generated power that would otherwise go to waste, it cost $200million and if called on in a blackout it will last from 2 - 4 hours and if not called on then if the batteries are charged then the power will still go to waste. So maybe the Supermarkets are ripping us off but price increases are being fueled by this mad rush to renewables when there are much cheaper sources of power that don't only work when the sun shines or the wind blows. It is easy to not use water if you just think a bit. Yes, the makers of automatic dishwashers try to convince you that they use less water than Hand washing but then they would wouldn't they? They are trying to sell them. Do you really need to Pre-Rinse dishes before putting them into that Water and Energy sapping machine? Do you Really need to have your dishes sterilised? Do you really need to have them heated to boiling point to dry them? The answer is: NO. We wash our dishes ONCE a day, by hand and we use, at most 8 litres of water and enough Energy to have the Water at about 45C.

Well that can happen when the person is alive too. My Mum doesn't remember what she had for dinner the night before but remembers growing up during the war and being bombed out twice. Her short term memory is like non existent but she can still play a mean game of scrabble. Some times we don't listen to the important things because life gets busy or it not quite the right time, don't dwell on that. Mistakes happen and we have to get on with life but make sure you allow your self to grieve too. Go through his photos and remember him lovingly. After all he was your Dad. Don't hate a day because of the commercialism where it's all about spending money, Father's Day can mean so much more if you just put in a little imagination. Go for a picnic or have a nice lunch, go for a walk and reminisce the Dad you had. Sorry for your loss and he lived a long time and I am sure he had a great life. You are apart of his legacy. always recycle, reuse, pass to someone else. i do it with clothes, shoes and other things. while my recycling is not 100% i certainly try my best. i also use other, water system for bathroom, use recyclable kitchen towels in addition to my paper towels, to reduce my use of paper. i only buy clothes i know i need, use clothes i have until they need to be recycled. i donate ones that are still in good condition to people who may need them and cannot afford them, same with shoes. i do my best not to just throw things away. i am working towards minimalistic use of things in general but to be honest i find it challenging still.

But the Big Tech companies knew what they were doing when they developed these platforms and now you have SM like Tik Tok which is targeted at the below 18 years population and owned by a company run by the CCP, which fills me with confidence that they have our best interests at heart, and the algorithms are not just causing terrible addiction in this age group but the kids don't know that their brain chemistry is being changed and rerouted and they can no longer concentrate for more than a few minutes at a time. Their brains are still developing and I am strongly against social media for youth under 18 years old. But the worst part of social media is the "social contagion" aspect with the way it is redefining what gender means to children enmasse and the uptick in online bullying leading to more children than ever before suiciding because of bullying occurring outside of school and in their own homes. Just a couple of weeks ago a 10 year old child killed himself because of being bullied. As a child who was bullied badly at school in the 1970's and early 1980's I at least could get away from the bullies once I left school for the day. Social media has provided a way for bullies to have 24/7 access to their victims and that's just terrible! If you weigh up the negatives and positives of social media I don't think that the benefits outweigh the negative impact that it has had on us globally. The only people who truly benefit are the owners and shareholders of these massive corporations and the kids are suffering due to their power and global influence. Everything in moderation is good. Sometimes we crave certain foods because our bodies need some nutrients that they contain .

As a child I was horrified to be told that our dogs were being fed horse flesh. Rabbits were the main protein food of many working class people during the Great Depression and on holidays as child I often hunted with my father for a "bunny" for dinner when we camped on a dairy farmer's property. Depending on circumstance and how desperately hungry I was I might try anything that looked like food from whatever source if that need arose.

I'm 60 this year. At work they call me "The Jedi. Not because I'm the oldest, which I am, but because I live in their words "the old ways." I don't own a smart phone, smart TV, 3-D printer or any of the other 100 things that this current generation thinks of as essential. I don't even own a credit card. I cut it up 20+ years ago when using it became too easy. I own my own house, plus an investment property, car, 2 investment Supers and $$$$ just sitting in my bank for an emergency. My co-workers are in their 30's to 40's and are in debt up to their eyeballs, living from payday to payday. They have all the latest gadgets but no real wealth at all. When I tell them this they just laugh at me. I had already owned my 1st home when I was their age. This generation is so hung up on the latest stuff and living "Now" on credit that by the time they retire they will still be renting. So yes, I don't like the future and technology. I am a Jedi/lol. But I'll tell you one thing...I'm happy that I'm the way I am. I'm worried about the current generation and their fixation on technology. All these easy options are keeping them poor and they can't see it cause everyone they know is doing the same thing. And they look at someone like me...laugh, and call me old.

I went to the doctor and told him I had a weak back. He asked me when I first got it. I answered: \u201cabout a week back\u201d!

I have received a message from my bank twice asking me if I had made a certain purchase on my credit card and both times it wasn't us. Somehow people have been able to get our credit card number but our beaut bank picked it up. The last one was a $4000 lunch. I contacted the restaurant asking them to report the fraud to the police but they said they were letting their bank handle it. I don't understand their attitude because if they didn't see the person ordering the food they must have delivered it, my bank stopped the purchase so why wouldn't they want to get their money back. This is why these crooks keep going, no-one wants the bother of reporting the crime to the police.

I always take the aisle seat as I feel this is less claustrophobic than stuck in a corner albeit with a window to look out from. One has more leg room also and it is easier to get up and down from if one has to walk anywhere or do exercises. As for switching, no I wouldn't. You have been allotted a seat and that is where you should sit. If you want a particular seat then organise it pre flight.

This is something that does not bother me because if something gets too noisy, I take out my hearing aids.

I honestly believe that every city in the world should have a "Garage of Donations" (GOD) where everyone donates anything they don't use or want anymore, and where everyone who needs or wants those things should get them for FREE! Our Garage of Blessings is a recycle place where this is done. They run on donations, once a year sales to raise money, and volunteers who sort and put the items out in the building sorted by what it is. I have used and donated to them for almost 10 years. It saves people money, and saves the landfills. It won't cost anyone anything! RECYCLE, Please! ;-D

Technology is here to confirm and control us. We are lucky we have sensible people in our area, you want a 'scooter' you need to pay to register, and if you can get insurance you can't ride. So they get you with LAZY apps etc. THIS world has turned to satan and going to hell in a handbasket on warp speed.

I\u2019m holding on to my last baby. She\u2019s 18, going to college and works. I do not ask her to pay rent. She pays for her own college tuition and school supplies. So I definitely don\u2019t take the lil that she makes she\u2019s responsible for buying her own food sometimes and she\u2019s very smart. I also give her any extra money I have. I\u2019m very blessed to be able to do that.

Not sure this talent is in the artistic category (?). I am 'good' at solving crossword puzzles (where you have to pay a fee(s) to enter a crossword puzzle solving contests) - find that out about ten years ago - earned 3,000 dollars in prize money in 2022! This really goes without saying, if you have a pet you must care for it properly. Failing to do tis is abuse and those people should be punished. I am not a pet owner or lover and I do think some people are nuts in the way they care for their animals, house pets that is , farm animals are different. Some people do treat their animals better than people, this to me in crazy and unnecessary. A couple of examples would be allowing you dog, for example, to share your bed. Sometimes sleeping between two people, or putting sweaters on dogs when they already have been evolved to handle the colder weather. here is another, someone I know lets the dog out to have a pee, when the dog reenters the house the "parents" wipe the dogs behind with a tissue. This behavior is over the top and these people should be in a rubber room somewhere!

My phone company allows me to select report as a scam when I receive texts or calls, so it's easy to do.

Look I have nothing against gender equality, but when places promote or employ people based on gender or race just to tick an equality box requirement, rather than that person being actually qualified for a job then there's an issue. Unfortunately this happens a lot, so skilled very qualified people are loosing positions to people with lesser skills simply because they're female or of a certain race. But it means the efficiency and the competency within workplaces reduces.

You must be paid enough now so stop bleating. Think of all those people who are just existing through no fault of their own. You chose to get your education while others could not afford that way of life. This does not mean they are not capable. There are many highly educated people that are incompetent and do not deserve what they are paid.

Thankfully my phone usually comes up with a potential scam warning. Most numbers are overseas numbers, Aussie usually. I don't usually answer calls from numbers I don't know, if it's important they will leave a message. Emails are a bit easier to workout if a scam, claim to be from a genuine company, if in doubt always check the email address, usually a "mistake" in it.

One silly survey had a question that asked "Are you dead? Yes / No" to test that people were reading the questions properly.
